Hair Festival and Australian Hair Industry Awards

The latest in an incredible history of hair events in Australia, Hair Festival will help fill the gap of the sadly departing Hair Expo. Debuting over the long weekend in June 2021, Hair Festival provides an opportunity for the industry to shop, learn, compete and connect. The reinvigorated Australian Hair Industry Awards (AHIAs) presented by Mocha Publishing will take place on Monday night and allow hairdressers to compete in creative award categories.

BEAUTY EXPO AUSTRALIA

HEARTS 4 VIC

One of the most amazing initiatives to come out of the Hair and Beauty Industry during Covid, Hearts 4 Vic is a philanthropic four-week education platform hosted through Aftermath HairEd on Facebook. Combined with Jenni Tarrant’s Industry Friends with Helping Hands Go Fund Me page, the industry has raised almost $10,000 to help Victorian hairdressers who have had to close their salons during lockdown, speaking to the compassion of the industry. Organised by Kobi Bokshish, Adam Ciaccia and Julie Mahony, the initiative has hosted creative hair sessions online every Monday night, and business and wellness sessions on Wednesdays. There are a few sessions left and all sessions are available on demand via the group, so make sure you go and check out this amazing initiative!

2020 Australian Hair Industry Awards (AHIA)

The event had been postponed from its usual mid-year date to November 1, due to the ongoing circumstances, but now has had to be cancelled as a live event entirely. All ticket purchases will be refunded, and the event will be celebrated online.

The proceedings have been innovatively turned into a live online event, on October 11 at 7pm. This event will announce the AHIA winners and 2020/21 HOT SHOTS Team, live streamed across the brand’s many social media platforms simultaneously. The event team is encouraging the industry to get dressed up and throw their own private parties for the festivities, so we can celebrate together but apart.

 

 

BEAUTY & SPA Insiders

BEAUTY & SPA Insiders is brought to you by Australia’s leading B2B magazines for the aesthetics industry, SPA+CLINIC and Professional Beauty.
