Election E2026/105: Nominations Now Open
Nominations for HABA's scheduled election opened on Monday 5 October 2026 and close at 12 noon AEDT on Tuesday 20 October 2026. The election is being conducted independently by the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) under Returning Officer Robert Zammit. Nominations are lodged with the Returning Officer, not with HABA.
The positions to be filled are President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and two Ordinary Committee Members.
To nominate, complete the Nomination Form. It must be signed by the nominee and by at least one HABA financial member as nominator, and both must provide their membership numbers. The Election Notice sets out the timetable and how to lodge a nomination, by email to the AEC or through the AEC portal. It is the candidate's responsibility to confirm that the Returning Officer has received the nomination before nominations close.
Any member who would prefer not to lodge the form themselves may send the completed and signed form to info@askhaba.com.au, and HABA will lodge it with the AEC on their behalf. This is available to every member on the same terms. HABA will not review, comment on or alter any nomination. Forms must reach HABA by 5pm on Friday 16 October 2026.
